Intro
– A National Private Pilot’s Licence (NPPL) is aimed at recreational pilots who wish to fly in the daytime. On completion of this course you are able to place 30 hours of your training time towards your JAR PPL, if you wish to continue on to do this licence. Your lessons will be taken in blocks of 3 to 5 hours and you will learn the ins and outs of flying your aircraft – landings, take-offs, navigation, circuit flying and solo flying. You will also be expected to do at least one cross country flight and two landings at different aerodromes to demonstrate your competence. Throughout your course you will be taken through a number of different procedures that will test your skills. Ultimately, they prepare you for your practical examinations.
As well as the practical examinations you will be expected to complete the theory (ground) exams of which there are seven:
