Intro –
A Private Pilots Licence (PPL) is the qualification to fly in the UK and aboard. The course requires 45 hours of flying time. You will see you spend at least 25 hours with your instructor, learning how to handle the plane, manage safety procedures, landings, take-off, navigation and circuit flying. Another 10 hours of solo flying will be expected from you, along with a qualifying cross country flight, a solo circuit and two landings at different aerodromes, all as preparation for your practical examinations.
As well as the practical examinations you will be expected to complete the theory (Ground) exams of which there are seven:
