One-hour lessons are perfect for people who think they might like to become a helicopter pilot. In your lesson, you will learn the basics of helicopter flight and the effects of the controls, and you will then take over and fly. Most schools use a Robinson R22, some a Schwiezer 300CBi. It really doesn’t matter which one you choose – both are proven training machines.
One of the most memorable parts of the lesson will be your attempt at hovering. It’s quite a difficult skill to master. Some people get it very quickly, for some of us it takes a little longer. Still, everyone comes away with a huge grin!
