Becoming a helicopter pilot is a real achievement and opens up a new way of travel. Our five-hour block of lessons will help you on your way to this achievement while saving you money.
After five hours, you’ll have made good headway into the skills that you’ll need to finish the 45-hour course and you’ll know whether you want to continue. This is where we are always confident, because flying helicopters is such fun we know you won’t want to stop.
About the lessons
The lessons really do depend on the student and how fast you take to the task in hand. While each person is different, by the fifth lesson many students are skilful enough to start looking at auto rotation. This is the skilled and safe manoeuvre of getting the helicopter on the ground in the unlikely event of an engine failure. It seems very scary and, to be honest, the first time you do it it is –but you’ll get the hang of it and then the fear of engine failure will start to fade away.
One thing is for sure – by the end of the fifth lesson you’ll be able to control and fly a helicopter.
